Throughout the course of The Old Man and the Sea, the old man brings many themes to the table. He shows us readers that not everything can be done by ourselves and he shows us how a man should be. He should be tough and never give up. After the old mans hand is cut he says, “It is not bad,” he said. “And pain does not matter to a man.” With that being said this shows how the old man is. He is strong and very persistent especially with this fish that has been dragging him out to sea for days. No matter what he won’t let go until he finally gets the fish.
Memorable Fall experience
This past weekend I went to a pumpkin smashing contest. Thousands of people from all over came to this great event to smash some pumpkins. I brought my metallic orange Easton baseball bat as my smashing utensil. Across this large field there was tons of people and two times as many pumpkins. Big and small pumpkins filled the area and guts of them scattered the ground. It was a beautiful sight and I didn’t see a single frown. It was nice being in a place filled with smiles and laughter and everyone was having a great time, including myself. I’ll definetely go back next year!
Northridge Vikings OT win
This past Friday my high school football team, the Northridge Vikings, played Mt. Gilead in the pouring rain. The game wasn’t easy at all, it was hard to make good tackles because of how slick it was and catching the ball was a struggle for some players. We went into overtime with the score 20-20 and our running back Sam Doran made two amazing runs to put us in great position to throw me the ball for the winning touchdown!
How bout them Buckeyes!
This past Saturday all of us Buckeye fans became 2-0. We played Hawaii and kicked there butts all up and down that field! It honestly seemed to easy for our boys. Our run game is unstoppable and our passing game is great, we will win this title again this year!
Senior Year
It’s so hard to believe that i’ve went through 11 years of schooling. That’s more than half my life so far, isn’t that crazy to think about? Before you know it we’ll be walking across that stage as graduates and beginning our life’s. I’m ready to graduate though, I want to work and make money.
Hectic Week
This week has been quite difficult with football and school going on. I’ve had to type a report and today i’m already beginning to start another one. But right now my main focus is to win tonight at our football game!
personal narrative
The personal narrative needed to be created for this quarter of schooling isn’t going to be easy. I have to come up with a problem i overcame in my lifetime. This has to be a problem capable of writing atleast 5 pages worth of material over it, that’s no easy task.
Blog post over short story
This short story is going to be pretty easy. It wont take much time to get this project done and move onto the next one! The only struggle would be deciding the right topic to write about, which is not an easy task. I’ve got a pretty good handle on it though!
Juicy J Can’t!
Currently I have been listening to this song called, “Slob on my Nob” by Juicy J. This song was released around 2007 when Juicy J was part of a group called, “ Three 6 Mafia”. This group broke up in 2010. The song is quite funny and has a good beat to it. Some people would say it’s inappropriate but to me, I just see it as another song to listen too.
